The state of the world

Dear people,

it says a lot about the situation of this world that nowadays also classic-liberal or libertarian weblogs, if they are perceived by the mainstream at all, are often called "right-wing populist". Anyone who has dealt a little with the history of political ideas knows that liberalism is an ideology that as such contains no nationalist or xenophobic ideas. But liberalism is not "left". The mainstream is "left", and everything that is not "left" is either ignored or fought by it. And of course it is easiest to defame what is not "left" as "right" or "right-wing populist".

We now live in a time in which freedom of opinion is allowed as long as one represents the "correct" opinions. Which opinions are to be regarded as "correct" is decided by the catalogue of "political correctness". State media are committed to this catalogue of opinions; who is ultimately behind it can only be conjectured. Roland Baader once wrote that socialism is an infectious mental illness - in other words, whoever this whole thing started from, there are now so many who have been infected with this virus that the whole thing has developed into a self-runner.

It is quite clear that anyone who is classically liberal or even libertarian and stands by his opinions is a dissident. He has to reckon with reprisals accordingly. Those who don't keep their own opinions behind them live dangerously. That's how it is, and has always been. Only with the difference that in the course of time it has changed which opinions are considered desirable by the authorities and which are not.

It already says a lot that the term "liberalism" is not taught in our schools, although our country is supposed to be a "liberal democracy" according to its constitution. Instead, much of what is actually the fruit of liberalism is attributed to democracy, denying that democracy in the truest sense of the word is in itself a form of rule, namely the rule of the majority of the people over the minority.

The fact that the real-political situation could, of course, be described more as a multi-party dictatorship is also a fact that one normally only dares to pronounce behind closed mouths.

Long live the world of alternative media, long live alternative communication channels in which social fringe groups organize themselves and lead a free life beyond the rules of the rulers, at least as far as it is possible!

Let us use the technical possibilities to create our own worlds!
