Österreich - Das einzige anti-westliche Land in der Europäischen Union?

Ich bin auf einen interessanten Text gestoßen:

Was hier über Österreich zu lesen ist, wird wahrscheinlich manche schockieren. Andere hingegen wird es weniger überraschen. Einige Auszüge:

In five countries – Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, and Slovakia – the overall party system tends towards anti-Western positions on most of the 12 questions.
[...]
In fact, Austria is the only EU country that receives an anti-Western score on all 12 questions – although sometimes only marginally so.

Besagte 12 Punkte lauten:

• support for the European Union;
• liberalism as a European value;
• secularism as a European value;
• support for the NATO/EU-centric European security order;
• the country’s support for transatlantic relations;
• free trade and globalisation;
• the country’s relations with Russia;
• the country’s sanctions on Russia;
• the country’s support for Ukraine;
• refugees and migration;
• the war in Syria;
• the particular party’s links to Russia.

Was manche vielleicht erstaunen mag: SPÖ, ÖVP und FPÖ, alle drei Großparteien gelten als moderat bis extrem anti-westlich. Für ein westeuropäisches Industrieland eine Schande!

Aber es überrascht mich nicht. Es erklärt, warum ich mich hier in Österreich nie sonderlich wohl gefühlt habe, um es offen und ehrlich zu sagen. Auch wenn es mir materiell immer gut gegangen ist. Ich bin eben viel zu pro-westlich eingestellt. Offenbar ist es wirklich an der Zeit, dass ich nach Brüssel gehe!

Jedenfalls stimmt es nachdenklich.
